In addition to the indoor facilities, there would also be an outdoor rink for seasonal use. In the warmer months, this space would be converted into a garden restaurant and cafe. Rounding out the recreation program would be a community boating program that would teach sailing and kayaking to area youth. Finally, a small ferry terminal would be constructed at the pierhead to serve Seastreak and other regional water transport services.
